A young man in a pit mine just large enough for himself. He is looking for the "gold dirt". The sought after dirt is of a different shade that indicates it may contain gold. The dirt is then loaded into sacks or into flatbed trucks and brought to an area with water so it can be panned in order to separate the gold flecks from the dirt.
