Trân Thị Lợi prays at the Thấn Hoang Temple in Phú Bài, Vietnam. Previously this site was an entrance to the 85th Evacuation Hospital. During the war families and friends of soldiers and civilians that died on their way or while in the hospital would would burn incense by the roadside at this location to pray for the dead. In 1972 this temple was erected here where people in the local community, like Trân Thị Lợi, continue to come and pray for the war dead.
